We are delighted to offer this beautiful low mileage MGF finished in Anthracite with very rare black and red part leather trim. The was a demonstrator for Swain and Jones in Farnham very briefly and then registered to the only other owner who has had it for 19 years. The service history is exemplary with receipts from new.

Benefiting from a colour coded hardtop, the car is ideal for use all year round and with power steering and remote central locking is really easy to live with.

All original books come with the car including two keys with fobs.

Low mileage MGFs with history are now very sought after and we can't imagine this lovely car will be here long!

Bodywork

Largely dent and scuff free, the bodywork is excellent for its age and demonstrates regular garaging and attention.

Mechanical

With receipts demonstrating that the service schedule has been adhered to and whatever repairs needed have been carried out. As you can imagine, this MGF drives extremely well, is quiet on the move and demonstrates a good turn of speed when you need it. The clutch is light and the brakes progressive making it a joy out on the open road as well as about town.

Exterior

Everything is in fine order, garaging overnight has helped preserve all of the lights, trim and paintwork in fine order and the regular use of the hardtop has kept the softop clean and the rear window clear.

Interior

The black and red trim really suits the exterior colour of the car and it is clear that the car has been cherished as everything is in good condition and with fully functioning switchgear. Overmats have been fitted from new helping to preserve the carpets and the factory MG branded CD radio is still in place. A useful windstop comes with the car too.

Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.

We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.

  • The K-Series engine can have an issue with its head gasket. Here at Beech Hill Garage every vehicle we change a cylinder head gasket on is fitted with one of our own "reconditioned" cylinder heads. Each unit is crack tested, pressure tested and face skimmed. By doing this we know we are fitting a good unit to your car. We use the latest evolution of gasket. This is a genuine MG Rover multi layered steel (MLS) gasket and stainless steel dowels. No other gasket will do.

  • An important part of owning certain models is the adjustment of the Hydrogas suspension. We have the right tools, environment and experience to make this routine.

  • Classic cars are special, and we can provide MOT testing for yours.

  • We clean and air dry the underside of your cherished classic and treat with a choice of clear or black waxoyl.

  • If you need to store your classic car for a short period or more long term, wouldn't it be reassuring to know that it was being stored by a highly skilled professional team who love their work?

  • When your car is with us we have a wide selection of courtesy cars for you to use.
