On offer is this late MKII Triumph Vitesse finished in Laurel Green with a lovely beige interior and delightful wooden dashboard and door cappings.

It has come to us from a local long term owner who has had the car from 2008 and lavished care and attention on it to keep the vehicle in top condition.

The paintwork has a beautiful deep gloss finish having been restored a few year ago by a Triumph specialist with new metal where needed. The standard of the work is excellent and the quality of the car really does stand out.

There are stack of invoices and history for the car backing up the diligent attention the car has been given over the years.

With the delightful soundtrack from the straight six engine, the Vitesse proved popular with the family man who wanted something a little sportier whilst offering space and comfort for four. Following the same layout as the Herald and Spitfire, the huge forward hinging bonnet allows for easy access to both the engine and front suspension making the car straightforward to maintain.

For sale on behalf of the owner.

Available for viewing in our dry, secure and well lit sales barn, by appointment please.

Bodywork

Excellent throughout with no issues evident.

Mechanical

Running and driving well, the car was a delight on test with a smooth and torquey engine. There is evidence of recent work to the braking system which work well, light steering with the legendary turning circle and a smooth progressive cloutch.

Exterior

The paintwork has a fabulous shine, almost mirror like, which accentuates the lack of corrosion, dings, dents or scrapes - it really is in showroom condition. The vunerable bumpers are in good condition as are all of the lights and other trim.

Interior

Looking largely original but in excellent condition for its age, the light and airy cabin is a really nice place to be, presented with the lovely wooden dashboard, clear easy to read instruments one is transported back to simpler times.

Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.

We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.

  • Classic cars are special, and we can provide MOT testing for yours.

  • We clean and air dry the underside of your cherished classic and treat with a choice of clear or black waxoyl.

  • If you need to store your classic car for a short period or more long term, wouldn't it be reassuring to know that it was being stored by a highly skilled professional team who love their work?

  • When your car is with us we have a wide selection of courtesy cars for you to use.
