What a little cracker! In stunning condition throughout, this Midget has clearly been cherished from new. Restored on a new Heritage shell by a father and son who had owned this car from new in 1970 and lovingly restored it to a very high standard with the majority of the work professionally done. The new shell was seam sealed and waxoiled throughout for peace of mind.

Since being completed in 2000, the car has been sparingly used, generally on dry summer days hence its superb condition.

Two box files of receipts and history accompany the car including MoT certificates back to the mid Seventies.

One to cherish.

Bodywork

The body and paint remain fresh and bright with excellent panel gaps, the colour is striking and suits the car very well.

Mechanical

We have looked after the car since 2012 and it has wanted for nothing. As a result, it drives extremely well and typifies the direct and sporting nature of these wonderful little cars. With a reconditioned unleaded engine fitted during the restoration, the car remains a peppy performer.

Exterior

Sitting on refurbished early rostyle wheels which were unique to the British Leyland era cars, the car is very pretty, the last owner having invested in replacement chrome work and a new hood.

Interior

Clearly this was a no expense spared restoration so the car was fitted with extremely comfortable leather seats to replace the more usual vinyl ones, the carpets remain in good condition and all of the switchgear is in good order and the dashboard boasts a full compliment of working gauges.

Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.

We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.

  • When you own a classic car knowing where to get the best spare parts is crucial. We have a dedicated Parts Manager who will track down the best quality and hardest to find part for your car, we like to call this Automotive Archaeology, if it’s available ... we will find it.

  • Classic cars are special, and we can provide MOT testing for yours.

  • We clean and air dry the underside of your cherished classic and treat with a choice of clear or black waxoyl.

  • If you need to store your classic car for a short period or more long term, wouldn't it be reassuring to know that it was being stored by a highly skilled professional team who love their work?

  • When your car is with us we have a wide selection of courtesy cars for you to use.
