We are delighted to be able to offer for sale on behalf of a regular customer this genuinely outstanding Triumph Dolomite Sprint finished in sparkling Inca Yellow and with a black cloth interior. Offered with the then ground breaking 16 valve technology, the Sprint always has been highly sought after and for many was the only real competition to the BMW 2002.

This particular example has led a very pampered life following a restoration in 2012 and the recorded mileage appears to be since this was completed. There is extensive history with the car including details of all of the owners, the car having been supplied new by Southend Motor & Aero Co. Ltd to the Engineering Education Trust.

More recently the car has had an engine rebuild and a replacement aluminium petrol tank together with various other service items, in fact it has wanted for nothing.

The car comes with a Heritage certificate which shows that it was originally white but the car either has had a replacement shell or it has been completely apart as it is Inca throughout and there are receipts detailing a full inside/outside repaint.

Offered for sale on behalf of our customer.

Available for viewing in our dry, well lit sales barn, by appointment please.

Bodywork

Lovely, straight and solid throughout, great panel gaps, the door shut with a re-assuring thud, inside the wheel arches is still protected by paint and body colour is evident.

Mechanical

The car drives beautifully with a responsive and torquey engine, slick gearbox and smooth overdrive. The current owner is a perfectionist and a genuine British Leyland fan so as issues arose, he has had them attended to, The engine bay in particular is superb with lots of attention to detail throughout.

Exterior

The quality of the previous restoration is superb, with an excellent paint finish, the vinyl roof has been replaced and is in excellent condition with no evidence of issues underneath, all of the trim and brightwork is unmarked. The alloy wheels have recently been refurbished and are shod with good quality tyres.

Interior

Always a nice place to be, the interior of this example is easily the best we have seen. They were generally hard wearing but succumbed to sun damage and age but this car has clearly been garaged, even the vulnerable rear seat top is good. The period radio is a nice touch as are the Henly's dealer sticker in the rear window.

Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.

We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.

  • Classic cars are special, and we can provide MOT testing for yours.

  • We clean and air dry the underside of your cherished classic and treat with a choice of clear or black waxoyl.

  • If you need to store your classic car for a short period or more long term, wouldn't it be reassuring to know that it was being stored by a highly skilled professional team who love their work?

  • When your car is with us we have a wide selection of courtesy cars for you to use.
