1982 MG Midget 1500 - £9,995

On offer is this delightful Midget 1500 with an extremely low mileage backed up by extensive history.

Supplied new by Heron in Warrington, the car remained unregistered until January 1982 and must, therefore, be one of the last to see the road. 

As you may be aware, the last 500 Midgets were all sold finished in black with black trim making this quite a rare and collectible car in it's own right especially with so much information in the file and having covered just over 29,000 miles from new. There have been just 3 previous owners.

It appears that it was Ziebart rust protected, with the access bungs still present as well as the customary sticker. The protection has done its job and the body and structure remains in fine condition. There's even a period Sanyo radio cassette fitted along with an instruction book.

Unusually the car comes with a factory style hardtop, which fits well, and would make the car suitable for year round use.

The car drove very well on test with extremely light controls and the expected go kart like handling.

The car has come to us in part exchange for an even lower mileage MGB, the previous owner having a particular interest in low mileage BL products.

Arrow straight with what appears to be factory panels and gaps all round.

Drives very well, nippy and surprisingly torquey with light steering and clutch, reassuring brakes, it's easy to have fun without going too fast!

Bright and glossy paint in good condition, a little micro-blistering on the hardtop but overall very tidy, the hood is good, all of the lights are in good condition, the wheels are in good order and finished with attractive trims.

Virtually as new, with excellent seats, carpets are the originals and in excellent shape, all of the switches and controls are good.
