On offer is one of the very last genuine chrome bumper MGB Roadsters, registered in August 1974. Finished in Damask red it is very striking when complimented by the period looking Minilte style wheels.

Having been recommissioned recently by us and having the few MoT advisories attended to, the car is in very good condition and offers a low cost entry into MG ownership. Extensive history from marque specialists demonstrates diligent care and maintenance. Indeed, the car extensively restored in 2014, photos of the restoration are included in the history.

The accompanying Heritage certificate shows that the car was first sold to a staff member having been converted from export specification to UK RHD home market. View by appointment on Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays. (*am only)

Bodywork

The bodywork is in good condition throughout with good panel gaps and only minor marks.

Mechanical

The car drives very well having been recommissioned by us after a brief lay up whilst the previous owner was overseas. It is an easy starter with good brakes and a light clutch, the overdrive works well.

Exterior

The hood is in good condition, as is all of the brightwork, the lenses are free from cracks and damage. The Minilite style wheels are shod with good tyres.

Interior

Having been retrimmed in the recent past, the interior remains in good condition with all gauges and switches functioning correctly.

Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.

We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.

  • If you are going to use your MGB for everyday use, for competition, or your current gearbox is giving you trouble then our Mazda gearbox conversion might be an ideal solution for you.

  • When you own a classic car knowing where to get the best spare parts is crucial. We have a dedicated Parts Manager who will track down the best quality and hardest to find part for your car, we like to call this Automotive Archaeology, if it’s available ... we will find it.

  • Classic cars are special, and we can provide MOT testing for yours.

  • We clean and air dry the underside of your cherished classic and treat with a choice of clear or black waxoyl.

  • If you need to store your classic car for a short period or more long term, wouldn't it be reassuring to know that it was being stored by a highly skilled professional team who love their work?

  • When your car is with us we have a wide selection of courtesy cars for you to use.
