A really striking example finished in Blaze with black vinyl trim with red piping set off nicely by a sparkling set of chrome wire wheels shod with quality tyres.

Importantly, the car was Ziebart rust proofed when new which has helped preserve the car in excellent, solid condition.

Well cared for rather than mint condition makes this a most useable car and with the fitted boot rack, ideal for touring holidays or a long weekend away.

Fitted with overdrive, cruising is relaxed and the driving position very comfortable on re-upholstered seats that offer good support.

Judging by the plate on the engine, it appears to be an Oselli unit which, given the sprightly performance, suggests that it is in a mild state of tune but with a few extra BHP over the standard unit.

Altogether, a most attractive package and offering exceptional value.

Bodywork

In excellent, solid condition with good panel fit and no obvious signs of any structural issues.

Mechanical

The car has just been through our workshops where apart from a full service, it received a new radiator, coolant flush, attention to the brakes and kingpins plus numerous other small items.

As described previously, the car drove extremely well on road test pulling strongly in all gears, a slick gear change evident and seamless overdrive operation. The OSelli engine is a delight, revving freely and with noticeably more urge than a standard unit yet docile enough to potter about if you wish.

Exterior

The paint finish is bright and glossy with just a few minor imperfections, the wire wheels are in excellent shape and all of the brightwork and trim in good order, all of the lighting equipment works as it should.

Interior

Clearly retrimmed at some point in the recent past, it is good to see such a well presented interior from the blemish free crackle finish dashboard through to the quality carpet set, all kept dry by an expensive mohair hood. There's even a tonneau cover should you wish to enjoy year 'round top down motoring.

Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.

We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.
