On offer is this rather lovely 1947 MG TC finished in gloss black with a period red leather interior. The car is in super condition throughout having come from a fastidious long term owner who has lavished much care and attention to maintain its current condition. It performed beautifully on test with light steering and benefiting from a more modern five speed gearbox which allows it to keep up more easily with modern traffic. The car comes with full weather equipment, is on the button and ready to enjoy.

For sale on behalf of the owner.

Bodywork

Subject to an older restoration, the bodywork remains in excellent condition with good panel fit and no noticeable marks.

Mechanical

All of the mechanical components were either rebuilt, replaced or restored which is evident through the way the car drives which is spot on. It starts easily and idles without fuss, the clutch is light and the Ford derived gearbox is a delight.

Within the receipts there is a recent invoice for a recent carb rebuild by Burlen and an extensive mechanical overhaul. Previously, the car has had the engine rebuilt including a new crankshaft, flywheel and clutch together with a modernised rear crankshaft seal.

Exterior

All of the chrome is in excellent condition with all of the brightwork free from damage. The hood and side screens are present and in good condition with a little staining on the beige canvas but perfectly serviceable - most of the time, you'd have the top down anyway!

Interior

Restored some time ago, the interior leather is settling in nicely, the red really suiting the black exterior. All of the gauges work well.
