MG MGB Roadster LE - SOLD
On offer is this delightful MGB LE Roadster finished in Bronze with the model specific alloy wheels and overdrive. As you'll probably be aware, the LE was a run out model for MG and only 421 Roadsters were made of which about 200 had alloy wheels.
The car has been with the last owner for over 25 years and he has clearly cherished it and whilst used regularly it remains in very good condition.
The car performed really well on road test with an extremely smooth overdrive operation, responsive engine and a pleasant ride indicating diligent maintenance. There is a good history file with the car which includes an invoice for an engine rebuild less than 15,000 miles ago, albeit in 1999 .
The bodywork is good without any issues that need attention, the paint is bright and glossy, the interior is tidy and the seats are comfortable. The hood fits well and appears to be the original.
Oil pressure is good and there are no untoward noises on the move, starting easily from cold. The tyres are all good.

Bodywork
In very sound order throughout, well cared for and no issues that need attention.
Mechanical
The engine was reconditioned some time ago but has covered limited mileage since. At the time, an unleaded cylinder head was fitted.
Everything works well and the car has the feel of an original, well maintained example.
Exterior
In lovely condition, the paintwork is very good and the overall impression is of a cherished example.
Interior
Bright and tidy with elements of patina here and there but well above average for the age.
