MGB GT - £13,995
It is increasingly difficult to find cared for examples of the popular MGB GT but we are delighted to have been able to acquire this example from one of our regular customers.
Supplied new to Carlaw Cars Limited of Glasgow on 27th April 1972, the car was and still is fitted with Rostyle wheels, overdrive, inertia reel seat belts, servo assisted brakes and a heated rear window. The car comes with extensive history including many invoices over the years demonstrating diligent maintenance.
In lovely condition, the car offers delightful period motoring with a high degree of practicality.
Having had extensive restoration works in the distant past, the bodywork and structure remain in fine condition with bright glossy paint and no signs of corrosion or other issues. The panel gaps are good for an MGB and it feels good and solid.
From the receipts regular servicing has obviously been carried out, the car runs and drives very well, performing without issue on test.
All of the brightwork, lights and trim is in good original condition, the rare recessed grille is in excellent shape.
The rare basket weave seats are in lovely condition and the car benefits from recent carpets which are high quality items.
Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.
We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.
If you are going to use your MGB for everyday use, for competition, or your current gearbox is giving you trouble then our Mazda gearbox conversion might be an ideal solution for you.
