We are delighted to be able to offer for sale this lovely 1971 MGB Roadster finished in rare Glacier White with black leather trim.

We have known this car on and off since 1981 and it has been with the current owner for over 25 years. He has maintained the car to a very high standard but due to lack of use more recently, it is being offered to the market.

There is much history with the car detailing a high end restoration in 1992 and the fitting of an Ivor Searle engine in 1991.

The car remains in excellent condition and drove extremely well on road test with great road manners and light controls, it's rare to find an unmolested MGB in such good condition now.

For sale on behalf of the owner and therefore without warranty but has been inspected and any immediate issues addressed.

Available for viewing in our dry, well lit sales barn, by appointment please.

Bodywork

It's hard to believe that the car was restored over thirty years ago as it remains pin sharp and with great panel gaps and overall rigidity.

Mechanical

From the receipts it is clear that no expense has been spared on upkeep and as a result the car drives very well and with no knocks or bangs, sounds great and stops/steers very well.

Exterior

Bright glossy paintwork is set off well by the correct 'Rostyle' wheels, all the chromework is in great condition, the hood is a mohair item and is in good condition.

Interior

The uprated leather seats are extremely comfortable and add a quality air to the cabin, the carpets and in great condition as are the door cards.

Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.

We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.

  • If you are going to use your MGB for everyday use, for competition, or your current gearbox is giving you trouble then our Mazda gearbox conversion might be an ideal solution for you.

  • When you own a classic car knowing where to get the best spare parts is crucial. We have a dedicated Parts Manager who will track down the best quality and hardest to find part for your car, we like to call this Automotive Archaeology, if it’s available ... we will find it.

  • Classic cars are special, and we can provide MOT testing for yours.

  • We clean and air dry the underside of your cherished classic and treat with a choice of clear or black waxoyl.

  • If you need to store your classic car for a short period or more long term, wouldn't it be reassuring to know that it was being stored by a highly skilled professional team who love their work?

  • When your car is with us we have a wide selection of courtesy cars for you to use.
