2016 Annual Charity Day Raises £745 For The Duchess Of Kent Hospice

Thanks to the generosity of our friends who joined us on Saturday we raised nearly £750 for this year's chosen charity. As you probably know our transport man, Scottie Durrant, died of cancer in June aged just 44. His last weeks were spent in the care of the Sue Ryder hospice and we wanted to raise a few quid in his memory.

The event consisted of a Scatter Rally, Raffle with prizes donated by Moss and MGOC Spares and our legendary BBQ with sausages supplied by the Mortimer Sausage Co. The Scatter Rally took the entrants for a 50 mile tour around the local Hampshire and Berkshire countryside with questions to answer for fun. We held an informal "Best Car of the Show" competition which was won by Jill and Graham Eke's beautiful Glacier blue MGA, for which they won the inaugural Scottie Durrant Cup.

To those of you who came we would like extend our thanks and for those who'd like to join in next year please keep an eye on our news page and Facebook page for the date of our 2017 event.
