On offer is this splendid MG MGB Roadster finished in Tartan red with black leather trim, fully rebuilt by ourselves some 20 years ago, backed up by extensive history, and still in outstanding condition after dry use only.
The owner provided us with a summary of his ownership, as follows:
"The car was fully rebuilt by Beech Hill Garage from a very solid car that I had purchased from a family friend on my 40th birthday. I have owned the car for 23 years and it is just a delight. Since the rebuild it has never broken down, the car was originally Old English White but was fully repainted Tartan Red during the rebuild. During the rebuild, we did a total strip down, the body was sand blasted and then fully sealed. Many new parts were used but the car has its original engine, gearbox, body and axles.
It comes with both a soft top and fibreglass hardtop which is very hard to find. It has been serviced every year since the rebuild and you can see from its MoT history that it has never had an issue. Because it is only used during summer months, the brakes have silicon fluid, so no damp gets in."
Performing well on test, the car drives beautifully and is near immaculate and available at a fraction of the cost needed to build a similar car now.
