A fine example of the model in the favoured colour scheme of British Racing Green with black trim, this car was fully restored in 1997 and remains in excellent condition. The history file includes photographs showing the extent of the work which included all of the usual rot spots and includes before and after photos. Sold by us a few years ago, we previously acquired the car from a local collector who had kept the car dry stored and although sparingly used.

The car has come back to us with the owner part exchanging it for a GT.

Still in super condition, it needs nothing and is on the button and ready to go!

Available for viewing in our dry, well lit sales barn, by appointment please

Bodywork

As described above, the car was extensively restored in the late nineties and included sills, floors, front wings, rear wings and a full repaint. The car remains absolutely solid with no evidence of issues, the panel fit is good. A sheaf of old MoTs accompanies the car which shows that although few miles have been covered, it has been taken for an MoT test every year with very few issues recorded.

Mechanical

A full mechanical overhaul was carried out during the restoration, again photos to prove, and the displayed mileage we believe is since the restoration. The car drives very nicely, is responsive and handles very well with no evident issues. Benefitting from overdrive, it feels relaxed at speed. The car will be fully inspected and serviced before it leaves us.

Exterior

The paintwork is bright and glossy, complimented by chrome wires wheels that are in good condition and shod with four good quality tyres. The hood is snug and watertight, all of the trim is in good condition, everything works as it should.

Interior

Fitted with uprated leather seats, the car is extremely comfortable to drive and in great condition. The dashboard has the popular walnut effect trim to enhance the traditional feel and is further complimented by a period wood rim steering wheel.

Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.

We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.

  • If you are going to use your MGB for everyday use, for competition, or your current gearbox is giving you trouble then our Mazda gearbox conversion might be an ideal solution for you.
