Excellent value when new, MGFs now represent great fun at a very affordable price. We specialise in low mileage cared for examples and this lovely car is no exception. Showing a very low mileage of 31,000, the car is in excellent condition throughout and has just been through our workshop where we have fitted a replacement head gasket, cambelt and given the car a full service meaning that it is ready to go.

If you've never tried an MGF, we are sure that you will be surprised at how good they are to drive and how comfortable they are, especially for a sports car.

Available for viewing, by appointment please, in our dry and well lit showroom.

Bodywork

The bodywork is in excellent condition with just a few minor marks but no rust.

Mechanical

As described, the car has just had the big job completed of a new head gasket and whilst in the workshop it was fully inspected and any jobs attended to. The car drives extremely well and is quick with a light clutch and steering but very comfortable on the move.

Exterior

The car presents very well, the colour really suits the lines of the car and is set off beautifully by the bright silver alloy wheels which are all in great condition. The bumpers, lights and trim are all damage free, the hood is in good order and the rear window clear. These late MK2 MGFs often had a rear spoiler, including this one.

Interior

The cloth sports seats suit the car and add to the overall driving experience, the wind stop is a great addition and helps keep heat in the car even on chillier mornings. It is all in great condition and a tetament to careful ownership and the low mileage.

Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.

We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.

  • The K-Series engine can have an issue with its head gasket. Here at Beech Hill Garage every vehicle we change a cylinder head gasket on is fitted with one of our own "reconditioned" cylinder heads. Each unit is crack tested, pressure tested and face skimmed. By doing this we know we are fitting a good unit to your car. We use the latest evolution of gasket. This is a genuine MG Rover multi layered steel (MLS) gasket and stainless steel dowels. No other gasket will do.

  • An important part of owning certain models is the adjustment of the Hydrogas suspension. We have the right tools, environment and experience to make this routine.

  • When you own a classic car knowing where to get the best spare parts is crucial. We have a dedicated Parts Manager who will track down the best quality and hardest to find part for your car, we like to call this Automotive Archaeology, if it’s available ... we will find it.

  • Classic cars are special, and we can provide MOT testing for yours.

  • We clean and air dry the underside of your cherished classic and treat with a choice of clear or black waxoyl.

  • If you need to store your classic car for a short period or more long term, wouldn't it be reassuring to know that it was being stored by a highly skilled professional team who love their work?

  • When your car is with us we have a wide selection of courtesy cars for you to use.
