Built around 4 years ago by a specialist, this MGB GT V8 should catch your attention if you are looking for a rust free, very well built, fast GT V8. The car is built with a British Motor Heritage shell and powered by a very healthy Rover V8 fitted to an SD1, 5 - speed gearbox. Time has been taken to equip the car with very practical enhancements including ventilated front discs, GAZ shock absorbers, uprated springs front and rear and Edelbrock carburetor and  manifold. The car presents beautifully with a deep shine to the black 2-pack paint which is amplified in appearance by the 15 inch Mini-lite type wheels and radial tyres. Not a factory car, but an outstanding example of what the MGB GT V8 can be and the joy they provide to own and drive. For sale on behalf of the owner. View by appointment on Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays* (*am only)

Bodywork

Fitted with a British Motor Heritage GT shell, the car appears completely rust free. The body was treated to waxoil  and underseal  when built will ensure it is well preserved into the future. All panels fit very well and as an attractive alternative to bumpers, the car is fitted with 'Sebring' finishing panels to the front and rear.

Mechanical

In very good order all round. The engine runs and performs smoothly, delivering the legendary Rover V8 power and torque without fuss and delivering that unique Rover V8 exhaust note, enhanced through a stainless steel sports exhaust system. Many new or refurbished components have been fitted including suspension, radiator, carburetor and starter motor.

Exterior

Finish in deep gloss black paint, the car is completely rust free. One or two minor areas on the paint (inside part of door shuts) could easily be finished to make a near perfect finish. All brightwork is clean and free of rust.

Interior

Clean and smart throughout. Many interior panels have been replaced including seats co0vers in the recent past. Carpets in very good condition.

Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.

We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.

  • If you are going to use your MGB for everyday use, for competition, or your current gearbox is giving you trouble then our Mazda gearbox conversion might be an ideal solution for you.
