On offer is this delightful MGA Roadster 1600 that is in superb condition. Manufactured in October 1959, like many MGA's, it was exported to Illinois where it stayed until 1997 when it was re-imported and then treated to a full nut & bolt restoration which was completed in 1998. Every aspect of the car received attention including an engine rebuild with an unleaded head fitted, it was retrimmed, a new wiring harness, gearbox rebuilt etc. The part finished result was displayed at the November 1998 NEC Classic Car Show, photos come with the car of it at the show.

The car has covered very few miles since the restoration (circa 5000miles) and remains in excellent condition. After a period a lay up, we recommissioned it in 2017 paying attention to the brakes and fitting new wire wheels and more recently we fitted a rebuilt brake/clutch master cylinder.

This is a lovely car that is 'on the button' and ready to go.

Bodywork

Panel gaps are spot on, the fit is excellent and are testament to the restorers standard of workmanship, Classic Restorations.

Mechanical

Drives beautifully, strong performance and light controls make it an ideal tourer.

Exterior

Superbly presented in Old English White, the car looks stunning, the paintwork is blemish free with a deep gloss and all of the chrome and lighting is as new. The wire wheels are in great condition and the tyres relatively new.

Interior

The red interior really suits the white exterior and despite having been restored nearly 25 years ago, it is clear that quality materials were used as it is all in excellent condition.
