1969 MG MGB GT - £14,995
Increasingly difficult to find, the superb early MGB GT has had just five owners from new, the last, who restored the car, has owned this delightful example for over twenty years.
The car was restored to a very high standard and has seen little use in recent years but dry stored meaning that it remains in lovely condition throughout.
Despite the restoration having been carried out several years ago, the bodywork remains in super order with a deep finish to the Tartan Red paint, the panel fit is very good and there are no unsightly marks or issues worthy of note.
Having just been through our workshop, the car runs and drives extremely well with good oil pressure, smooth and progressive brakes and a light clutch. The overdrive works well offering more relaxed and economical cruising.
Complimenting the chrome wire wheels are a set of new quality tyres, all of the trim including the bumpers are in very good condition and the car sports a pair of the favoured rounded rear light lenses found only on the earlier cars.
Having benefited from new carpets and upholstery during the restoration and seen little use since, the interior remains in excellent order, all of the switches and gauges work as intended making the cockpit a pleasant place to be.
Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.
We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.
If you are going to use your MGB for everyday use, for competition, or your current gearbox is giving you trouble then our Mazda gearbox conversion might be an ideal solution for you.
