In excellent condition throughout, the surprisingly solid example finished in the popular Persian Aqua clear coat metallic metallic has come to us via a most fastidious owner who has invested in the car to make it reliable and 'on the button'.

Nice examples are increasingly difficult to find and most have not worn well - this car is an exception, no doubt helped by the low mileage covered, the interior in particular is remarkably good with none of the usual tired trim so often seen in this model.

The car performed very well on test with a perky engine, slick gearchange and relaxed cruising available through the fifth gear fitted on these later models.

Now tax and MoT exempt combined with low cost classic car ownership, there has never been a better time to enjoy top down motoring.

Seemingly very solid in all the right places, the doors fit well as do all the other panels, there are a couple of minor marks here and there but nothing to cause concern.

We have thoroughly overhauled the car for the current owner including a replacement timing chain, suspension, steering and brake work. As a result, it is an easy starter and drove very well on the test drive. It is quiet and the temperature stays within the expected range.

Benefitting from a recent hood, the car is watertight, all of the trim is present and correct and the overall appearance is of a nicely turned out factory specification car without modifications and in the correct colours. The pop up lamps work well as do the remainder of the lighting equipment. The wheels have been refurbished and new tyres fitted.

Probably the most impressive aspect of the car is the condition of the interior which is amazing for a 40 year old car. The dashboard especially is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading suggesting that the car must have been garaged for much of its life.
