MG MGB GT - SOLD
Very early MGB GTs are few and far between especially in this condition. First registered in 1967, this car is one of the first GTs and as such retains all of the charm of the early cars including the larger steering wheel, different door handles, rear light lenses etc. This example is in fine condition despite having been restored many years ago, as demonstrated to by the photos that accompany the car.
The overall impression is of a car that has been cherished and dry stored as it is virtually unmarked and remarkably corrosion free.
Performing faultlessly on test, the car benefits from overdrive and wire wheels making it the ideal specification for the enthusiast.
Available for viewing in our dry, wel lit sales barn, by appointment please.
The bodywork is in very good order with excellent panel fit. Despite the restoration having been carried out in the 90's, we believe, it is in fine order.
An easy starter the car requires little choke from cold and soon warms up, settling to a steady idle. On the move it performs well with light easy controls, the gearchange is positive and with a light clutch action, the brakes are good. Overall a very pleasant driving experience.
Difficult to fault, this really is the best combination of colour, the Tartan Red paintwork really set off by the painted wire wheels. All of the lighting equipment and trim is in excellent condition.
Having been restored many years ago, the interior has settled in quite nicely, the carpets appear as new and the dashboard remains in lovely condition.
Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.
