We are pleased to offer this most striking MGC Roadster finished in red with Black trim piped in red. The car has come to us from the most recent long term owner who bought the car in 2014.

In excellent condition throughout, the car drove extremely well on test with its characteristic six cylinder thrum and oodles of torque from its three litre engine.

Clearly cared for over the years, there is a thick history file going back over twenty years allowing the new owner to appreciate what has been spent and on what. More recently, the car has benefited from new seats and carpets, steering rack, stainless exhaust, reconditioned carburettors, hood, fuel tank etc.

Offering an ideal route into classic car motoring, the MGC makes a great long distance cruiser especially when the car is fitted with overdrive, as this example is.

Available for viewing in our dry, secure and well lit sales barn, by appointment please.

Bodywork

Absolutely rock solid with no evidence of issues. We've inspected whilst on our ramp and it's been given a clean bill of health.

Mechanical

Running a driving well, the owner drove it down from Birmingham to us without drama. Evidence suggests that the car is fitted with a stage 2 head and this could well be the case given the way it drives. There are receipts for many new parts and it appears that anything that needed attention was attended to immediately.

Exterior

What strikes you about this car is that is sits so well, with arrow straight sides and a purposeful stance. The paintwork is bright and glossy all over and is complemented by a recent top quality mohair hood. It is refreshing to see a 'C' still on it's 15" steel wheels! Oil pressure is good and there is no evidence of any cooling issues.

Interior

Retrimmed in 2015, the interior remains in fine shape with a largely standard appearance. The seats are supportive  and comfortable, the view of the bonnet is superb with all switchgear within easy reach.

Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.

We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.

  • The MGC filler neck is prone to change shape over time and lead to potential coolant loss. We redesigned it and now manufacture a replacement that solves the problem and looks magnificent in your engine bay!

  • When you own a classic car knowing where to get the best spare parts is crucial. We have a dedicated Parts Manager who will track down the best quality and hardest to find part for your car, we like to call this Automotive Archaeology, if it’s available ... we will find it.

  • Classic cars are special, and we can provide MOT testing for yours.

  • We clean and air dry the underside of your cherished classic and treat with a choice of clear or black waxoyl.

  • If you need to store your classic car for a short period or more long term, wouldn't it be reassuring to know that it was being stored by a highly skilled professional team who love their work?

  • When your car is with us we have a wide selection of courtesy cars for you to use.
