MG TF LE500 - SOLD
A lovely low mileage example of the last of the line LE500 editions of the popular MG TF. Understandably a best selling convertible in the day, these practical two seater sports cars are finding favour with a new generation of MG enthusiasts. The LE500 model, in particular, is very sought after especially when equipped with the removable colour coded hard top making it practical to use all year round, it even has air conditioning!
This car is in excellent condition having had just four owners who have clearly used it sparingly and as a result, drives superbly with responsive handling and a freely revving engine.
Much roomier than an MX5 and offering a genuine link to MG heritage, this TF offers excellent value for money.
Available for viewing in our dry, well lit sales showroom, by appointment please so that we can give you the time to inspect the car fully.
Bodywork
In excellent condition with no visible marks or damage.
Mechanical
Retaining all the zest of the earlier 'K' series engine but without the head gasket issues, the later 'N' series engine complies with later emission requirements but still provides sparkling performance. With a detailed service history, the car is in fine shape just having been inspected in our workshop. The car will also come with a new MoT.
Exterior
Finished in very rare Solar red, this really is a striking car set off by refurbished 11 spoke alloys fitted with excellent Toyo tyres, the hardtop is in good condition, as is the hood which being a later car, is fitted with a glass heated rear window.
Interior
The LE500 came with perforated leather seats which remain in very good condition, the sporty instruments keeping the driver informed of the vital statistics. As mentioned, the car has rare air conditioning together with a quality head unit equipped with Bluetooth.
Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.
We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.
The K-Series engine can have an issue with its head gasket. Here at Beech Hill Garage every vehicle we change a cylinder head gasket on is fitted with one of our own "reconditioned" cylinder heads. Each unit is crack tested, pressure tested and face skimmed. By doing this we know we are fitting a good unit to your car. We use the latest evolution of gasket. This is a genuine MG Rover multi layered steel (MLS) gasket and stainless steel dowels. No other gasket will do.
