1957 MG MGA Coupe - sold - SOLD

Having been subject to a major body off restoration in 2003/4, photographic records available, the car remains in delightful condition throughout with good shut lines and panel fit. It is unusual to find an original UK market car in such fine condition and retaining its disc wheels.

Restoring any MGA to a standard that results in good panel fit is a challenge on any model, more so on a Coupe where the door aperture is very difficult to get right. This car has clearly been given a great deal of attention in this regard as the doors close nicely and all of the panels line up very well.

The paintwork is bright, even and glossy and the overall appearance is stunning.

Having had almost every component renewed or reconditioned during the restoration and with few miles since, the car drives wonderfully well with a nice quiet engine, smooth clutch and gearbox.

All brightwork is in excellent condition and all original fittings are in place, everything works correctly. The car looks most attractive and is unusually still on disc wheels.

In excellent condition throughout with a lovely patina, the seats are comfortable and the dashboard is delightful with a full display of instruments.
