This MGB GT presents beautifully having benefited from a previous full body, quality re spray. The car is preserved in near original specification throughout, with the exception of a professionally installed twin-choke Weber carburettor. On test, the car drives very well indeed with sure footed handling, smooth gearbox and a lively 'B Series' engine. The gearbox is fitted with Overdrive for relaxing cruising and an electric fan is installed to ensure temperature is controlled to optimum levels at all times. To provide that open air motoring feel, this GT is also fitted with a sliding 'Webasto' roof.  The car will be supplied with 12 months MOT at the time of sale and is ready to drive and enjoy.

Bodywork

Sound condition all round having benefited from under seal protection in previous years.

Mechanical

The car has evidently been regularly maintained and as a result, all mechanical components are working perfectly on test, delivering a thoroughly enjoyable drive.

Exterior

The bright blue paintwork, following a previous quality re spray, is the outstanding feature of the car. The attractive Rostyle wheels could be enhanced with some light refurbishment. That said, the rubber bumpers and chrome stainless steel exhaust are all in clean, sharp condition.

Interior

The original cloth seats are finished in 'autumn' leaf material and the driver's seat is showing some signs of age. The carpets and Webasto roof are in excellent condition and overall, this is a very pleasant interior. Enhancements to trim can be arranged according to individual customer requirements.

Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 40 years in this business counts for something.

We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.

  • If you are going to use your MGB for everyday use, for competition, or your current gearbox is giving you trouble then our Mazda gearbox conversion might be an ideal solution for you.
