Meet The Team

William de la Rivière
Petrolhead + Architect + retired racing driver + Garage owner. Will won the MG Car Club’s MG Metro Cup in 2000 in a car prepared by Ted (while Will made the tea and held the spanners). He joined the family business a year later.
When he’s not at work, Will will be with Louise, walking Margot the dog and restoring their 1920’s house, while dreaming of getting back into racing one day.

Tom Goldsmith
A long-time self-maintainer of several interesting classic cars including MGs, Triumphs & a pre-war Lanchester 10, Tom had been a customer for over 40 years until we tempted him to leave the corporate world and join the team as our Service Manager in 2022. Tom is organised, knowledgeable and resourceful.

Alex Cother
Alex is our Car Sales Manager and Marketing guru.
He has owned literally hundreds of classic cars and bikes (most of which he will still be able to tell you the reg number of!).
Having been a customer for many years, Alex joined us in 2014 and adds a cool, calm and collected air to the team.

John Alexander
John has been working with us since 2006, though we have known him for over 40 years.
He has an unparalleled experience of classic MG & Triumph sports cars.
He ran his own repair & restoration company throughout the 80’s & 90’s, when “our” kind of classic cars were more often daily drivers.
He has a no-nonsense ‘get on with the job’ approach to his work, combined with his wise head.

Andy Squire
Andy is our MG Rover magician. His knowledge of the brand and its vehicles is quite literally second-to-none. Since joining us from the main dealer world in 2017, his enthusiasm and expertise have come through in spades.

Carl Aramo
Carl is our most recent recruit, joining us in 2024, and brings a wealth of experience & energy to the team. He has worked on JLRs Heritage and Royal fleets, meaning that he can turn his hand to classics in the Jaguar, Land Rover and classic Range Rover realms. This grounding is proving very useful in the Beech Hill world, and we have been very impressed with his attention to detail and depth of experience; particularly for someone of his relative youth.

Harry Wescombe
Harry is our youngest team member (he’s still in his early 20s, lucky boy!). His willingness to learn and embrace new tasks is a breath of fresh air. He’s been with us since 2021, and his enthusiasm and progression have seen him promoted (in 2024) to fully fledged mechanic with his own ramp. He’s got a great team behind him to learn from, so he’ll doubtless go from strength to strength.
