Join us at our Annual Charity Open Day – August Bank Holiday Monday

Since our 30th Anniversary Event in 2009 our Charity Open Day has become an annual date in the diary.

Every August Bank Holiday Monday we invite our customers new and old to join us for a BBQ, a 50 Road Run, a Raffle and Car Show.

In 2009 we raised money for the Alzeimer’s Society in memory of  Ted’s Mother and Will’s Grandmother.

In 2010 we supported The Fleet Air Arm Association in memory of Sally’s Father and Will’s Grandfather who died in May that year aged 91. Cdr. C.F. Hargreaves’ Navy flying career started in “string bags”, quickly followed by Spitfires & Seafires and finished in jets like the Vampire in the ’60′s.

In 2011 we supported Macmillan Cancer Support.

The staff of Beech Hill Garage would like to offer many thanks to all who attended and donated. A special thanks to Mike Lamb of the MGCC who organised the road run for the third year running and produced another superb route of over 50 miles around the local area. This is no small task and must have taken many hours of work. Special thanks also to everyone who supplied their car for display on the forecourt on the day. We had (in no particular order!) an ex-works AH3000, the Mille Miglia MGA “MJB167″ of Steve Dixon, the very early MG 18/80 of Chris Kebble, Alun’s TF1500 and his BGT, Kelvin’s B Roadster with custom cream leather, a lovely black MG TA, Simon Merriott’s 1963 FIA MGB Race car and many more.

Thanks also to Moss Europe, MGOC and Castrol Classic Oils for supporting us with donations for the raffle every year to date.

All profits are donated from each event and so far we have raised nearly £1000 for these charities.
