1969 MG MGC Roadster - SOLD

Recently completed restoration by a local MGC specialist, this stunning example is in superb order throughout. Supplied new to the US where the climate is kinder, the car was repatriated last year and underwent a detailed restoration which included conversion to right hand drive.

Whilst most people will be familiar with the profile, the MGC is a very different car to the MGB and has an entirely different character being a much more relaxed and longer legged cruiser making it ideal for long distance touring. With a pack away hood, there is also much more room behind the seats for luggage.

The car sounds glorious and generates a wonderful soundtrack, encouraging you to seek out tunnels and underpasses.

The car presents very well with excellent panel gaps and with the doors shutting nicely and whilst it has been restored, it all looks very original even down to the sharp spot welds visible throughout the panel edges. Colour is visible in all four arches with no sign of any issues.

As described, the car has been fully refurbished including a comprehensive engine rebuild that included balancing which these engines really benefit from. The under bonnet appearance in particular is spectacular with great attention having been paid to getting as close to factory appearance as possible.

Genuinely the car has the appearance of nearly new with all of the exterior brightwork, lighting equipment, hood etc either being new or refurbished. The hood is new, as are the wire wheels and tyres, overall a delight.

Beautifully presented in red with white piping, all new leather seat covers, new carpets, refurbished dashboard, refurbished instruments, all in all a lovely place to be.
