We are pleased to be able to offer this outstanding example of the MGC Roadster in probably the most popular specification.

First registered by MG main dealer, Regent Motors of Cheltenham in February 1968, this superb example finished in British Racing Green has always been in the UK and remains in original specification.

It benefited from a full professional restoration in 1990 which included a total bare metal repaint and a full engine rebuild by renowned specialists, Oselli Engineering.

A thick history folder comes with the car covering the last 30 years, photos of the restoration and a Heritage certificate. With only 2 owners in the last 37 years, it has clearly been cosseted and remains a delight to drive.

A lovely car that needs to be seen to be appreciated.

For sale on behalf of the owner.

Viewing by appointment please in our dry, well lit sales barn.

Bodywork

Although restored three decade ago, the body in absolutely rock solid and inspection underneath reveals a wonderfully restored chassis with crisp, clear panel edges and evidence of rustproofing.

Mechanical

With a professionally rebuilt engine and few miles since, the car performs extremely well, the overdrive works perfectly and there are no knocks, pangs or rattles to speak of on the move. With supporting evidence, it is clear that whatever the car has needed has been attended to.

Exterior

Clearly a high quality restoration, the paintwork remains bright and glossy, panel fit is good and all of the exterior brightwork, bumpers etc are in excellent condition.

Interior

After 30 years of gentle use, the seats have a lovely feel to them with soft, supple leather, the woodrim Moto-Lita wheel is in good condition and all of the dashboard fitments are in great shape.

Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.

We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.
