Previously restored, this Triumph TR6 remains in extremely sound condition with very good bodywork finished in attractive Laurel Green. Accompanied by a thick history folder, the car has clearly been cherished by TR Club members over the years with it appearing at many classic car shows.

The car is on the button and performed extremely well on test, pulling very well and with a smooth overdrive action in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear making more relaxed cruising possible - ideal for attending events further away from home.

Immediately useable, the car needs nothing but a new owner might want to improve the paintwork but the car is priced attractively to take account of this. With the best examples well into the mid twenties price wise, the car offers extremely good value.

For sale on behalf of the owner and available to view in our dry, well lit barn by appointment please.

Bodywork

Solid and with no evident issues, the car has clearly been very well put together during a previous restoration and displays excellent panel fit and is largely rattle free.

Mechanical

The history file demonstrates that the car has received regular and diligent maintenance over the years, resulting in an easy starter which performs well from cold and displays excellent performance from the fuel injected six cylinder engine. Despite the TR6's reputation for being a 'hairy chested' drivers car, it is agile and lively on the road with good road manners and a glorious sound track, at home on the twisty country lanes around us or on a faster A road.

Exterior

The overall impression is of a very sound and straight motor car, with great chrome, all of the exterior fittings are in good shape, the hood fits well and looks like a factory replacement, the cars sits nicely on the original spec steel wheels which are shod with quality tyres.

Interior

The interior is in good shape with supportive, comfortable seats, the carpets are in good condition as is the attractive dashboard.

Apart from our accurate and reliable description of this car we believe you will not find a better bunch of chaps to deal with; we know our MGs inside out, we won’t flannel you with sales speak and we aim to provide you with a car that you will be bringing back in a year’s time when the next service and MOT is due, no sooner! However, if you do have a problem we will stand by our car and help you in every way possible. We like to think that 38 years in this business counts for something.

We are in the quiet Berkshire countryside but close to the M4 and Mortimer Railway Station. Our local pub, the Elm Tree is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves fantastic food and proper beers. Call us to arrange a viewing and a test-drive and come and make a day of it.
